Waste to Art 2 Day Workshop - Children and Teens’ Weaving Webs
Join 2019 Textile Award Winner Barbara Stephenson for a creative two (2) day upcycled textile fibre art workshop for children and teens.
In this two day (2) workshop Barbara will use upcycled textile materials to create a web. Barbara Stephenson repurposes rejected blankets to comment on the depleting need for woolen products in the face of the climate crisis.
Date: Saturday 14 August, 2021
Time: 9am to 12pm
Cost: $20 - bring along sharp scissors. Children and teenagers should also bring an old t-shirt to upcycle. Limited to 10 participants.
Location: Gatakers Artspace, 311 Kent Street, Maryborough.
*Day two of the workshop will be held on the following weekend Saturday 21 August from 9am to 12pm.
