Accessibility at The Story Bank

At The Story Bank, we believe everyone should have the chance to experience the magic of storytelling. To ensure a welcoming environment, we offer thoughtful resources for our visitors, from our social story to guide you through your visit to our sensory map to help navigate spaces with ease. We can’t wait to share the wonder with you!

For those seeking a quieter journey, we invite you to visit during our calmest months, March and November, when the magic unfolds with a serene atmosphere.

Sensory Friendly Sessions

Join us every Tuesday morning for Sensory Friendly Sessions at The Story Bank. These sessions are designed for individuals with sensory sensitivities, offering a peaceful, supportive space to explore our exhibits. Enjoy reduced noise and gentle lighting, allowing everyone to experience the magic of the museum at their own pace.

Service Animals

We warmly welcome service dogs to accompany their owners on their magical journey through The Story Bank. To ensure the safety and comfort of all our visitors—and to protect the enchantment of our exhibits—we kindly ask that other animals remain at home.

Companion Card Program

We are proud to accept the Queensland Government's Companion Card program. If you're a Companion Card holder, your companion can enjoy free entry. Please have your valid Companion Card ready when attending The Story Bank, and our friendly team will assist you. We look forward to sharing the magic of The Story Bank with you and your companion!
